Low-carbon ferromanganese
Introduce
Ferromanganese is an alloy made of iron and manganese. It is an important auxiliary material for cast iron and steelmaking. Its fracture is dark gray with a blue-yellow flashing tint (due to the presence of hard and brittle Mn3C in manganese). Thus, ferromanganese is hard and brittle.

It can be used as a deoxidizer and alloying material in steelmaking. As an alloying additive, it can enhance the hardness, ductility, toughness and wear resistance of steel. It has been widely used in alloy steel such as structural steel, tool steel, stainless heat-resistant steel, and wear-resistant steel. Manganese can also remove sulfur and reduce the harmful effect of sulfur.
